A guerrilla gardener in South Centeral

A guerrilla gardener in South Central Los Angeles name Ron Finley started planting vegetation in his front yard and then in other run down lots, street corners etc.. This was a very moving TEDx speech. Ron got a citation for planting vegetables in front of his house, which the city owns the side walk but expects him to maintain it??? Eventually with the help of Change.org got enough signatures to change that. Awesome

Try best not to complain

We have a hard enough time dressing ourselves in the morning with two arms. But this straight-shooting 25-year-old girl born without arms, who goes by the handle “Tisha UnArmed” and regularly posts YouTube videos about how she goes about her everyday life, reveals in a new video how we’ve been taking for granted the little things – like being able to zip up our flies without assistance and put on a bra without doing “a little jig.” Then again, some things may be simpler without arms; Tisha says it’s easier to turn your shirt around if you accidentally put it on backwards. :)

Humans are so amazing while some don’t deserve to be in existence. Be Grateful you woke up today. Now go put yourself to positive use!

Ty Warner gives woman $20,000 for her cause after asking her for directions.

This was a very sweet gesture by Ty Warner. I love reading stories like this. Do not be afraid to Muster up the courage when you are suffering from a life threatening disease and get out and try with all your strength & prayers to find some help.

That’s what happened last month when Jennifer Vasilakos guided Ty Warner when he stopped and asked for driving directions in Santa Barbara, Calif.  Jennifer was standing on a street corner handing out flyers to raise money for a stem cell procedure she needs to save her life from kidney failure.

He was true to his word. Vasilakos, an herbalist and Reiki teacher, received a package on July 16 with a $20,000 check and with a handwritten note from Warner. The note read in part, “Someone up there loves you because I was guided to meet you Saturday. I never lose my way, but fate had me lost and ask you for directions. The rest of the story I hope will be a wonderful new life for you.”

My buddy just sent me a link to this video. This is so classic and brings back so many memories. My buddy is almost a decade younger then me, so it makes me happy to see he’s tuned into life before the Y generation? lol Is that the name they call teens today?

Anyways, my friend knows more classic rocks songs then anyone I know my age or older and the dude is 22 years old. Makes me proud.

American Gladiators used to be one of my favorite shows to watch. This was our reality television and the WWF.

The days when they showed more fitness on television, like Tony Little, Body by Jake, Richard Simons, etc.. Now they have taken physical education out of the school system, feed you horrible food that puts you in a bad mood. Then you go home, play PS3, play Call of Duty to release your aggression and dumbed down by a smart phone or sitting on FaceWaster updating your status.. WOW, how times have changed.
